Monday is Funday. Unless it's night than it's cold day! I was teaching a new student in Chinatown because he wanted to shoot urban settings. He actually knew more than most that gets a new camera so he just needed critiques in artistic visions. Next we are doing the Italian district, Saturday.

That day I wanted to kill two birds with one stone so I also set up an evening shoot on new looks I'm working on. The new look outside is urban feel with still conceptual and artistic touch. And also, I'm experimenting on new lighting kits because my two jobs I have coming up, I have to go ninja in a business building for two clients and the gear I carry has to be in one case that doesn't look like a camera case.

The models and MUA were cold because of course it's night time in San Francisco, but it was not that cold, but certainly jacket weather. Unfortunately, the female model has to wear a dress for the shot.

Stay tune for more ninja style lighting!

I Shot A Dog!

It was for Oakland Animal Services. Carson, a labrador retriever, pit bull terrier has been in their shelter for some time now and I wanted to help them out with the dogs that may be running out of time.

I went with a model, Tamara and volunteer trainer Steve to a dog park.

What I saw amazed me. Carson was good with kids and other dogs. If some dogs growl and bark at him, he would not make a sound. Carson just seems to be friendly and just want to play. Very good tempament.

When we were walking back, he did this little bark. kind of like, I'm leaving the fun and going back to the shelter :(.

Check out my pictures of Carson. Even the background images were done at the dog park. I just photo shop a background I normally use for people portraits.

Engagement Pictures From Golden Gate Park

Heather & Pete Engagement pics

You know what's fascinating about my photography besides the artistic freedom? Getting to meet and learn about people, especially couples.

Engagement pictures have the best stories. How they met:

Heather and Pete are great people I would consider good couples that are like most of my friends. They met during a friends wedding in a drunken state? After many times of friends wanting to set them up, but circumstances like already dating someone else and timing prevented fate to happen.

As I recall, Their friends pushed them out the door and said do this for us. So thus begins their wonderful saga.

How many times have I tried to set my friend with the cute girl that cuts my hair? He's stubborn and it is his lost. Perhaps it's because he doesn't drink?

Awww, the power of liquor!

I will be updating more pics of Heather & Pete as I do my post production and you can see them here: Heather & Pete

Shot Engagement Picks For Couple Who Met On Craigslist!

They were young, good looking and as far as I can tell fun and normal. We had fun at China Beach. It was my first time yesterday when I scouted before the shoot today on Sunday.

This is what's cool with San Francisco and not even mentioning the Bay Area, there are still wonderful places I haven't seen, thus haven't point my camera and making models do their dance!
